As a teenager she switched to contact lenses but then had to give them up because of corneal abrasions. Gifted with strength of character and determination to sell, she was successfully cured thanks to the Bates Method, a visual re-education that allowed her to recover most of the visual capacity. But beyond a certain limit she could not go: she could see better, but not yet sufficiently to allow her to live her life without glasses. So she decided to become a visual trainer herself. She learned visual rehabilitation, which became her profession, and applied it to herself. Surely surgery was an option not even to be considered! Until, prompted by the insistent questions of her patients, Sara turned to Dr Pinelli, partly out of curiosity, partly to see for herself what the procedure he proposed consisted of. Ma oltre ad un certo limite non riusciva ad andare: ci vedeva meglio, ma non ancora in maniera sufficiente da consentirle di vivere la sua vita senza gli occhiali. Decise allora di diventare ella stessa una visual trainer. Impar\u00f2 la riabilitazione visiva, che \u00e8 diventata la sua professione e l&#039;ha applicata su se stessa. Sicuramente l&#039;intervento era un&#039;opzione neanche da prevede in considerazione! Fino a che, spinta dalle domande insistenti dei suoi pazienti, Sara si \u00e8 rivolta al Dr Pinelli un po&#039; per curiosit\u00e0, un po&#039; per verificare di persona in cosa consistesse la procedura che egli propone. Ora non porta pi\u00f9 gli occhiali nemmeno alla guida grazie alla luce, che anche nel suo lavoro considera l&#039;alleata fondamentale.
